Long, the woman who is going, Bernadette Chirac (Catherine Deneuve) arrives at the presidential palace Elysée in 1995 frustrated and anything except rejected by her newly elected husband, Jacques (Michel Vuillermoz). Having always worked in her shadow to help her ascent in the presidency, Madame Chirac now expects to finally obtain the place of the political elite she believes deserves. In the beginnings of the film by Léa Domenach -Smart, based on real events, the rise of Madame Chirac of the invisible political spouse to the great figure of the media – as it is calculated as it was inevitable – is told with a word and a spirit with equal parts, motivated by the memorable central performance of Deneuve.
